The City Imagines with Ken Greenberg

Presented by The Word On The Street, The City Imagines Keynote explores how Torontonians can build an inclusive, creative city for the 21st century. Our inaugural event will be hosted by author and city builder Ken Greenberg on Tuesday, September 17 at The Concert Hall at 888 Yonge St.

Drawing from his 2019 book Toronto Reborn, the keynote will examine how citizens, NGOs, businesses, and governments have combined to refashion Toronto. Following the keynote, a panel of experts will consider how cities can foster a thriving cultural sector and unlock the potential for artists and storytellers to influence city building. Our moderator is journalist John Lorinc. Panelists include Ilana Altman (The Bentway) Menon Dwarka (Art of Time), Devyani Saltzman (The AGO), and Kerry Swanson (Indigenous Screen Office).
