The CNE’s beloved interactive horse program returns for its 15th consecutive year to delight audiences with a thrilling trick riding show and free pony rides.
Marking the unofficial start to the CNE, HorseCapades kicks off Saturday, July 27 at the Horse Palace with a program designed to introduce the young and the young at heart to the magical world of horses. Visitors with little ones can enjoy interactive, educational games and activities such as Guess a Horse’s Weight, learn about a horse’s nutrition and grooming, discover how a horse thinks, acts and reacts, and notto-be-missed opportunities to pet a variety of horses and enjoy FREE pony rides (for children under 10 years of age).
Back by popular demand and set to original music, HorsePower Live! is pageantry, passion, and precision, featuring trick riding, roping and fun for all ages. Cheer for your favourite horses as they perform spectacular feats in a dazzling experience that will temporarily sweep you away from city life.
New this year: the CNE is offering a free shuttle service (Monday to Friday) for those arriving to HorseCapades by TTC on the 504 King Streetcar or the 29 Dufferin Bus. The train shuttle stop is just a short walk away from the Dufferin Loop (near Kid’s World) on the northwest side of the Exhibition Place grounds.
Elements of the HorseCapades will continue throughout the CNE, August 16 – September 2, moving from Horse Palace to The Farm in the Better Living Centre.
