On June 1st, 2018, join us for an evening of fun, food, and entertainment at Fast in the 6 on Nathan Phillips Square. This event is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for Torontonians of all backgrounds to come together and celebrate the city’s diversity through the tradition of breaking a fast, which is common in many cultures throughout the world. Led by Toronto philanthropists Dany and Lisa Assaf, last year’s event attracted thousands of people and is returning for a second year with the same message of “Diversity. Unity. Prosperity.” The night offers a packed entertainment program and food capped off by a spectacular firework show on the Square following a full schedule of performances by talented artists and musicians including legendary stand-up comedian Mo Amer, musicians Kareem Salama, Kelsi Mayne, and Nehma Sis as well as the artist Mustafa the Poet. Mark Strong, the in-arena host for the Toronto Raptors will be hosting the festivities. Mayor of Toronto, John Tory, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland, will be on-site to join the festivities as well.
