A ROM original — and first major exhibition on the topic — Bloodsuckers explores the interconnected world of blood-feeding organisms and the related human stories that have fascinated us through the ages. Live specimens - including rarely-seen vampire bats – anchor the exhibition along with large-scale, touchable models. Specimens and objects fill the gallery space telling the mythological stories inspired by these creatures all over the world. From the pesky, familiar mosquito to the exotic vampire finch, from Dracula to Chupacabra, Bloodsuckers thrills and chills while positioning the ROM as a leading natural history museum in research on blood-feeding organisms.
