Take an elevator to the 4th floor at TIFF and experience the land and culture of Palestine in 3 interactive sessions: Take a walking tour of Old Jerusalem; enjoy a culinary road trip through the West Bank; and learn about Palestinian embroidery as you cross-stich a bookmark.
Attendance is free however capacity is limited. Those interested in attending are required to pre-register.

1. JERUSALEM, WE ARE HERE (Virtual Walking Tour by Dorit Naaman)
WHAT: The project digitally re-inscribes Palestinians into the Jerusalem neighborhoods from which they were expelled in 1948. It is set as a virtual walking tour in Baq’a and Katamon, and includes short films produced collaboratively with participants.

2. EMBROIDERY LESSON (Workshop by Tiraaz)
WHAT: Make a beautiful hand-embroidered bookmark with Dana Masoud from Tiraaz. This hands-on workshop will explain the significance of embroidery in Palestinian culture. Participants will learn the basics of cross-stitching as they create their very own Palestinian bookmark.

3. POP PALESTINE! SALAM CUISINE FROM HEBRON TO JENIN (Film)
WHAT: Four Italian friends travelling from the south to the north of Palestine, to discover Palestinian culinary traditions. Moving between homes, restaurants and street shops they interview famous chefs, families and vendors and sample their favourite dishes. Yum! Discussion and sampling to follow.
