Skate Girls of Kabul at the Aga Khan Park

Exhibited for the first time in North America, this free outdoor photography installation features portraits of the fierce and feisty young girls who are participants of Skateistan — an award-winning, non-profit organization empowering youth and children through skateboarding and education in Afghanistan, Cambodia, and South Africa.

The photographs are by London, U.K.-based photographer Jessica Fulford-Dobson, who will lead an artist’s talk on September 5 at the Ismaili Centre, Toronto. There will also be a pop-up Skate Park in the Aga Khan Park on September 16 with free skateboarding lessons led by the Chill Foundation. All are welcome and equipment will be provided.
