Back by popular demand, the Aga Khan Museum’s Dancing in the Park series continues with FREE performances by Latin Grammy-nominated band Colectro and Noventa Dance Projects. Lifting spirits (and feet!) with upbeat Colombian-Caribbean rhythms and moves, the event takes place in the Aga Khan Park adjacent to the Museum and will include various food offerings. With the Museum’s extended hours until 9 p.m., guests are also invited to explore the galleries, with admission by contribution.
Colectro will perform “Coletera”, a type of music with multiple influences from the Caribbean region of Colombia combined with world music genres like soukous and electronic music.
Noventa Dance Projects is the organization created by dancer and ethnographer Melissa Noventa, whose work has spanned across a wide breadth of dance genres including: classical, contemporary, urban, West African, Latin and Afro-Caribbean dance forms.
