Culture Days Weekend at the Gardiner Museum

Enjoy three full days of free admission as part of Culture Days, Canada’s national celebration of community arts. Explore the Gardiner’s world-renowned collection of ceramics from the Ancient Americas, Europe, China, Japan, and contemporary pottery. Guided tours will take place daily at 2 pm.

On Saturday from 2 to 4 pm in the lobby, Medicine Song Woman Brenda MacIntyre will lead a participatory drum circle. A Juno Award-winning singer, speaker, and Indigenous wisdom-keeper, Brenda will share knowledge about participatory music-making through frame drum, shaker, and singing techniques. Visitors are invited to listen and take part. A limited selection of percussion instruments will be available for use.

On Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm, join us for hands-on art activities as part of our Family Sunday program.

On Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 3pm, visitors are welcome to observe a Raku firing class taking place on our outdoor plaza.
